Job Title: Anatomical Pathologist

Location: Cairns, QLD

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anatomical Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare network in Cairns. As a permanent, full-time position, this role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and stimulating caseload while enjoying the Far North Qld lifestyle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expert Anatomical Pathology services, providing timely, efficient, and high-quality diagnostic and consultation services. Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert Anatomical Pathology services that make a difference in patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic frameworks to improve service delivery and quality standards.
  • Supervise and support registrars to ensure their growth and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise in Anatomical Pathology, with a strong understanding of contemporary knowledge and skills.
  • High level of professionalism required in the position, especially objectivity and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including patients, colleagues, and management.
  • Knowledge of ISO 15189 and NATA Medical Testing Requirements, with experience in maintaining accreditation in a clinical specialty.
