Expert Anatomical Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Anatomical Pathologist to join our team in Cairns. As a specialist in this field, you will play a crucial role in providing timely, efficient, and high-quality diagnostic and consultation services to patients across Queensland.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in Anatomical Pathology, with the ability to participate in frozen section services, perform multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs), and contribute to after-hours on-call rosters. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, necessary for effective collaboration with colleagues and referrers.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert anatomical pathology services to make a positive impact on patient care.
  • Contribute to shaping the future of anatomical pathology through strategic framework design and implementation.
  • Supervise and support registrars, fostering their growth and ensuring professional development.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated contemporary knowledge, skills, and ability in Anatomical Pathology.
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Pathologist.
