About the RoleThis senior leadership position reports directly to the Director Community and is responsible for leading and managing the Children's Services team. The role involves developing and implementing plans, budgets, and operations to ensure that all staff work collaboratively towards meeting and exceeding regulatory requirements and Council's strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Children's Services team to deliver high-quality services to the community.
- Develop and implement plans, budgets, and operations to ensure the team meets its objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex matters involving children and families.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the team to ensure they are working towards meeting and exceeding regulatory requirements and Council's strategic plan.
- University degree in Early Education, Education, or a relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage an operational budget and work collaboratively with the finance team.
- Extensive experience in undertaking innovative service delivery in education and care for children and understanding of the NSW and national regulatory environment for children's services.
- High-level experience in leading a team involved in service delivery to the community, strategic and business planning, and ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
