About the Role
This senior leadership position reports directly to the Director Community and is responsible for leading and managing the Children's Services team. The role involves developing and implementing plans, budgets, and operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality early education and care services to our community.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic leadership and direction to the Children's Services team
- Developing and implementing plans, budgets, and operations to meet regulatory requirements and Council's strategic plan
- Leading and managing a team of educators and support staff to deliver high-quality early education and care services
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex matters and improve service delivery
- Contributing to the development of policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing a team of educators and support staff to deliver high-quality early education and care services
- Developing and implementing plans, budgets, and operations to meet regulatory requirements and Council's strategic plan
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex matters and improve service delivery
- Contributing to the development of policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A university degree in early education, education, or a related field
- Extensive experience in leading and managing a team in the education and care sector
- Strong knowledge of the NSW and national regulatory environment for children's services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
