Boarding Liaison Officer

About the Role

The Boarding Liaison Officer plays a vital role in the administration of the Boarding Houses, fostering a strong and connected Boarding community, and maintaining a reputation of excellence in Boarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the leave program, transport, and travel for Boarders
  • Assist with supervision of Boarders across all four Boarding Houses
  • Provide flexible support for the operational aspects of the Boarding House to facilitate a strong wellbeing focus
Requirements
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Strong administration and organisation skills
  • Maintains an unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated passion for working with students in a residential setting
  • Previous experience in supporting and mentoring of Boarders or young people desirable
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and practices relevant to boarding or the willingness to attain
  • Commitment to maintain or attain boarding specific qualifications
  • Ability to develop positive and supportive relationships with Boarders, parents, and staff
  • Understanding of the requirements implicit in Duty of Care and the expectations of the College in relation to Boarders
