Paraeducator Support Specialist

Position Summary:
Role OverviewWe are seeking an exceptional Paraeducator to join our team in a dynamic educational environment. As a Paraeducator, you will play a vital role in supporting student learning and well-being by assisting teachers with various tasks that promote academic success and social growth.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with instructional activities, reinforcement of concepts, and monitoring student performance to ensure individualized support
- Provide classroom management supports and related clerical tasks to optimize teacher productivity and enhance the overall learning experience
- Support students with special needs by implementing self-care plans, daily living activities, and managing behaviors as directed
- Engage in physical activities with students, such as walking, eating, and medication administration or treatments, as trained and required
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement effective instructional strategies and behavioral interventions
Requirements:
- AA degree required; Bachelor's preferred; coursework related to education and behavior management; or 2-4 years of relevant experience in a structured educational setting
- Ability to work effectively with children, young adults, and staff; patience and strong interpersonal skills essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to read/write/speak English fluently
- Proficiency with standard desktop software (e.g., MS Office) and relevant databases
- Familiarity with child development principles and instructional strategies
