Family Advocate Role

Job OverviewThis is a dynamic role that requires the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to identify and address child protection concerns.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with families and communities.
- Work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people to identify and address child protection concerns.
- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to develop and implement strategies to support families and prevent child harm.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans to mitigate risks and ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
- Provide individualized support to families to help them overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with courts, lawyers, and other stakeholders to advocate for the best interests of children and families.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Social Work, Social Science, or a related field, along with relevant experience working with vulnerable populations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with families and communities.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to remote locations as needed.
- Ability to work flexibly and provide 24/7 support as required.
