Job Overview

Australia's energy system and market operator is seeking a skilled professional to contribute to the development of our power systems.

Our purpose is to ensure safe, reliable and affordable energy for all Australians.

Key Responsibilities:

Support priority initiatives to drive meaningful outcomes for our operations and stakeholders.

Provide insights and practical advice to teams on how we operate the power system and market to drive positive outcomes.

Support the successful delivery of change into our control room and enhance our culture.

Build relationships with critical functions across our organization, including Operational Support, Modelling and Engineering, and Digital.

Support the upskilling and knowledge-sharing of control room staff, leveraging your expertise.

Contribute to the development and review of operational standards, procedures, and incident reports.

Manage incidents in accordance with our Power System Emergency Management Plan.

Requirements:

Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably in Electrical Engineering.

Expert knowledge of power system operations, including analysis and modelling, outage planning, and emergency management.

Previous experience in successfully contributing to projects and delivering results.

Strong interpretative and problem-solving skills, with an ability to make timely decisions based on analysis and practical judgement.

Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
