Job Summary

Australia's energy system and market operator and planner has a unique opportunity to co-design the future of our energy systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support key projects and initiatives on behalf of the organisation and liaise with staff as required to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Provide insights and advice to teams on how the power system and market operate to drive positive outcomes.
  • Support the delivery of change into the control room and enhance organisational culture.
  • Build relationships with critical supporting functions across the organisation and support upskilling of control room staff.
  • Develop and review operational standards and procedures, and assist with incident reports and control room procedures.
  • Manage incidents in accordance with the Power System Emergency Management Plan where required.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications preferably in Electrical Engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of power system operations including multiple areas: power system constraints, outage planning, analysis and modelling, emergency management generator connection requirements.
  • Previous experience contributing to projects and delivering preferably in power systems operations or Market operations.
  • Strong interpretative and problem-solving skills with an ability to make timely decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
