Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to take on the role of a Senior Environmental Advisor. This position involves ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, policies, and guidelines in a dynamic port environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on strategic projects, collaborate across divisions, and engage with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to relevant environmental laws and regulations.
  • Lead and manage environmental projects from development to implementation.
  • Conduct inspections, investigations, audits, and reporting under relevant environmental frameworks.
  • Analyse and interpret environmental data to support informed decision-making.
  • Deliver environmental training and inductions to different groups of people.
  • Maintain the Environmental Management System to international standards.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Management, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in environmental management within heavy industry or port settings.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation and best practices.
  • Proven experience in managing environmental aspects such as dust, water, and waste.
  • Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive reports and board papers.
