
Electrical Network Safety Specialist

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of consumer installations connected to our network.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with regulatory and technical requirements as agreed upon by EnergySafety.
- Conduct complex inspections on electric installations, verifying adherence to applicable regulations, laws, and standards.
- Prepare and issue orders for non-compliant installations.
- Investigate instances of non-compliance by electrical contractors and workers.
- Provide technical reports on electric shocks and fires as per legislated requirements.
- Undertake progress inspections on major installations.
- Offer specialist advice to network personnel and facilitate industry discussions.
- A Current Electrical Workers License is essential.
- You must be designated as an Inspector (Electrical).
- A Certificate IV in Government Investigations is required.
- You must possess a Certificate of Energy Coordination Act 1994, Electricity Act 1945.
- Detailed knowledge of electrical transmission and distribution networks is necessary.
- Familiarity with AS3000 and West Australian Electrical requirements is crucial.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience are required.
- Experience in electrical metering and/or installation practices, regulations, and procedures is necessary.
- A valid WA Driver's License Class 'C' or 'C-A' is required.
