Position Overview

As a key member of the Corporate and International Tax division, you will deliver specialized tax advisory and compliance services to a broad spectrum of clients, particularly focusing on mid-market enterprises. This role comprises approximately 70% to 80% advisory responsibilities. Collaborating closely with a Partner, you will oversee and execute assignments, mentor junior team members, and cultivate enduring client relationships. The ideal candidate is proactive and eager to advance their career trajectory.

We are open to considering part-time arrangements for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and reviewing advice, reports, and various client documentation
  • Executing the implementation of provided advice (e.g., tax structuring strategies)
  • Formulating M&A tax advice, including tax due diligence reports and analyzing sale & purchase agreements
  • Managing corporate tax compliance, including reviewing income tax returns
  • Identifying risks and applying global and local quality control measures and risk management protocols
  • Ensuring client engagements are completed to a high standard within designated timelines
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff members
  • Engaging in business development initiatives to promote the firm and its services
  • Contributing directly to the formulation of service line strategies

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Management experience with a minimum of 4 to 5 years in Corporate Tax or Private Clients Tax, preferably within a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
  • CA or law qualification, along with a tertiary qualification in Tax
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong writing capabilities, including drafting letters of advice and other technical documents
  • Demonstrated experience in tax compliance
  • Excellent research and business analysis skills
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a high-performing team
  • Proficient in building robust relationships both internally and with external clients
  • Self-motivated and proactive
