The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Machinery Equipment Technician to join our Launceston Branch team. In this role, you will assemble, maintain, and repair a wide range of mining and construction equipment to customer specifications, providing quality diagnostic and general maintenance service in a professional, timely manner.
You will be responsible for:
- The repair and maintenance of both new and used equipment
- Conducting basic failure analysis and identifying specific modes of failure
- Preparing and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
- Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
- Completing and submitting all relevant paperwork and reports
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company's 5S standards
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A relevant Mechanical Trade qualification - Commercial Vehicle trades will also be considered
- Previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair, and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment
- High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc.) - highly regarded
- A safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
- Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM
Estimated Salary: AU$85,000 - AU$110,000 per annum depending on experience
