The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the position of Field Service Fitter based in our Launceston Branch. This role will see you assemble, maintain and repair a wide range of mining and construction equipment to customer specifications and provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance service in a professional, timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• The repair and maintenance of both new and used equipment,
• Conducting basic failure analysis and identifying specific modes of failure,
• Preparing and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment,
• Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner,
• Completing and submitting all relevant paperwork and reports,
• Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company's 5S standards.

Requirements:
• Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification - Commercial Vehicle trades will also be considered,
• Previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment,
• High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) - highly regarded,
• A safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles,
• Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM.
