Job Overview:

The Verification Inspection Technician is a key technical role responsible for providing daily expertise and advice to colleagues, performing testing and commissioning duties for projects.

This position will work from a depot as well as provide on-site support, focusing on verification inspections of TCS assets, assisting with audits, reviewing maintenance activities, and serving as a technical liaison.

Main responsibilities include:
- Completing Verification Inspections on TCS assets.
- Assisting in regular audits of staff and providing reports to managers.
- Reviewing maintenance activities to ensure technical specifications are followed and works are delivered efficiently.
- Acting as a key technical liaison for all ITS/TCS asset classes, supporting service delivery teams, customers, and special projects.
- Controlling sub-contractors on site and ensuring they meet performance, quality, and health and safety standards.
- Supporting service delivery teams with risk assessment and mitigation, and developing efficient methods of working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regular customer contact to establish feedback and gather potential future opportunities.
  • Undertaking training with new equipment and systems as necessary.
  • Overseeing traffic engineering projects according to local standards, guidance, and best practice.
  • Preparing technical reports and specifications.
  • Analyzing performance data and developing improvement plans.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
