Job Title: Senior Editor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Editor to support the Australian Defence Force's Lessons & Doctrine Directorate.

About the Role:
  • This is a high-profile opportunity to lead and manage various projects, ensuring editorial excellence in the publication of Defence materials.
  • You will be working closely with editors, doctrine authors, publication developers, and multimedia specialists to deliver high-quality content that adheres to Defence writing conventions and standards.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
About You:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as an editor, preferably on complex publications.
  • Proven ability to work with style sheets and editorial guidelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior Defence leaders.
