Procurement Category Manager Job Description

The position of Procurement Category Manager is a key role in our procurement team, requiring the candidate to have direct or indirect experience and put the customer at the centre of everything they do.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute category strategies across key direct spend categories, driving value through market insights, supplier optimisation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing projects, implement supplier agreements, and own supplier performance to ensure delivery against commercial objectives.
  • Act as a key link between local and global procurement, aligning strategies, embedding best practices, and improving category policies and processes.
  • Report on savings, project milestones, and supplier performance across the portfolio, with a strong focus on delivering commercial outcomes.

  • A seasoned procurement professional with a track record of developing category strategies to deliver value on business and customer outcomes.
  • A confident communicator who can influence at senior leadership level and collaborate with diverse teams; able to challenge the norm when needed.
