About This Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Sourcing Manager to oversee the strategic management plan for food categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category plans aligned with our sourcing strategy, driving business outcomes through data analysis and supplier partnerships.
  • Analyse industry trends, risks, and opportunities to inform category strategies and drive growth objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, lead negotiations, and monitor supplier performance to ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver commercial projects and initiatives.
  • Drive cost reductions, manage category spend, and implement long-term savings strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Ensure regulatory and sustainability requirements are met while enhancing packaging, quality, and customer experience.
  • Identify, onboard, and develop new suppliers and products to support business growth.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Business Administration.
  • 5–7 years' experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably within Manufacturing, Retail, or FMCG.
  • Proven expertise in food ingredient procurement (Dry Goods, Grocery, Food Service).
  • Strong negotiation skills and market acumen.
  • Solid understanding of Commercial Law and Contract Management.
  • Familiarity with supplier management tools and technologies.
  • Professional accreditation is highly valued.
