Job Description

The lecturer's primary role is to facilitate learning and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements.

To achieve this, lecturers must demonstrate their competency and currency directly related to the module selected.

They undertake professional activities and deliver high-quality content while keeping abreast of technological developments in their field through continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Teach, facilitate learning, assess, and mentor students.
  2. Demonstrate expertise and currency directly related to the Skills for Study module selected.
  3. Undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery.
  4. Stay updated on technological and other developments in the field.
Required Qualifications and Experience

Lecturers must hold a primary or secondary teaching degree enabling registration with the WA Teachers Registration Board, or a postgraduate specialisation in TESOL, Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice, or other deemed suitable by Quality Managers.

They should have at least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position with an ability to facilitate and encourage learning.

A minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set.
