
Educational Trainer

The Skills for Study Lecturer is responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to students in the skills for study program.
The role involves teaching, facilitating learning, assessing and mentoring students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering lectures and workshops on language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills modules
- Developing and implementing lesson plans to engage students and promote effective learning outcomes
- Evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback to improve their skills and knowledge
- Mentoring students to enhance their academic and personal development
The successful candidate will have a strong background in education and training, with experience in teaching and assessing students in the skills for study program. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and QualificationsThe Skills for Study lecturer will be responsible for delivering modules in the language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills stream, which includes:
- A primary or secondary teaching degree that enables registration with the WA Teachers Registration Board
- A postgraduate specialisation in Education (TESOL), Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice, or another relevant field as deemed suitable by Quality Managers
They will also have at least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position, with an ability to facilitate and encourage learning. The successful applicant will hold a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (Standards), or its successors.
