Content Governance Manager Job Overview

This is a leadership role that involves overseeing the development and implementation of content governance strategies across an organization. The Content Governance Manager plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy, consistency, currentness, legal compliance, and alignment with regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to promote best practices, develop content governance frameworks, and establish standards to produce and maintain high-quality content.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement content governance frameworks to improve efficiency and compliance.
  2. Create guidelines for content creation, publication, and review.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure governance processes are practical, transparent, and scalable.
  4. Maintain comprehensive content governance frameworks.
  5. Work with stakeholders to ensure content approvals align with business requirements and industry regulations.
  6. Improve processes, lead CMS enhancements, and optimize workflows to scale content operations.
  7. Identify, escalate, and resolve content-related risks, issues, and dependencies.
  8. Ensure visibility over content approval processes to guarantee compliance at all stages.
  9. Analyze content governance data to identify trends and enhance operational efficiency.
  10. Develop measurement frameworks to assess governance effectiveness, risks, controls, and processes.
  11. Liaise with internal stakeholders to align governance processes with business needs.

The Content Governance Manager will also be responsible for providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to team members, helping to enhance their capability and performance.

Requirements
  • A strong background in content governance, compliance, regulatory roles, or content quality assurance.
  • Experience creating and embedding governance frameworks and policies in highly regulated environments.
  • Experience with CMS (Sitecore) and content approval and governance tools.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience or certification in an agile delivery environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the health insurance sector is desirable but not essential.
