Cultivating Quality Care in Addiction Treatment

We are seeking an experienced clinical professional to provide timely intervention to consumers presenting with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse issues.
About the RoleThe senior clinician will work closely with consultants to guide and lead multidisciplinary teams in making high-level clinical decisions that lead to quality outcomes for consumers.
Interventions will include comprehensive assessments, planning of care after discharge from emergency departments, and assertive community follow-up as required.
Responsibilities- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential risks associated with clients' substance use and its impact on their overall well-being.
- Provide support and advice on managing physical and emotional health related to substance use presentations.
- Classify clients according to established criteria and provide detailed reports outlining the classification process.
- Certificate or degree in nursing meeting registration requirements of the Nurses Board of Victoria in Division 1 or 3.
- A minimum of 5 years experience preferably in AOD or related sectors.
- Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Wellbeing initiatives including regular events and programs.
