Lead Electrical Project Engineer Job Summary">

This role involves overseeing engineering activities on assignments, providing project-level technical leadership and integration across engineering packages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-voltage electrical or power-systems projects with design oversight and integration responsibility.

">Key Responsibilities:">
  • Provide project-level technical leadership and integration across engineering packages.
  • Define and manage technical requirements, lead design reviews, track and close review comments to meet grid-connection and customer standards compliance.
  • Oversee Safety-in-Design and risk workshops, own the action register through to acceptance.
  • Coordinate grid-connection deliverables, consolidate responses to system-operator queries.
  • Installation and grid compliance, including AEMO power system modeling (R0, R1, and R2).

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in high-voltage electrical or power-systems projects with design oversight and integration responsibility.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Standards, including AS/NZS3000 (Wiring Rules) and AS2067 (Substations and High-Voltage Installations).
  • Strong project coordination and organisational skills to manage multiple design packages concurrently.
  • Proficiency in specialized software/platforms such as PSSE/Power Factory/PSCAD, ETAP, Auto CAD, and EPLAN.
