Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Studies to lead our University of Melbourne English Language Bridging Program (UMELBP). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring high standards of service delivery, and contributing to the development of curriculum and assessment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the UMELBP team, ensuring the program is delivered in compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and standards.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and review of curriculum and assessment processes, ensuring they are aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Staff Management: Recruit, induct, and mentor UMELBP team leaders and teachers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality programs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest standards of service delivery, including the maintenance of client privacy and the creation of a safe working environment.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit reports to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Relevant Qualifications: Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, such as education or TESOL.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in TESOL teaching and leadership roles, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality programs.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of ELICOS industry regulatory frameworks, including the National Code and ELICOS Standards.
