Job Overview

The Financial Services Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the outsourced provider of unit registry/transfer agency services, ensuring that key deliverables are met in a timely and accurate manner. This role requires strong client service focus, experience working in or closely with a unit registry/transfer agent, and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the outsourced registry provider to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and key client deliverables.
  • Liaison between the outsourced registry provider and internal and external stakeholders, including clients and industry partners.
  • Leadership of the unit registry stream during client transitions, ensuring seamless handovers and minimal disruption.
  • Coordination of deliverables during peak processing periods, leveraging expertise to optimize workflows.
  • Participation in industry working groups, fostering collaboration and driving best practices.
  • Identification of potential risks in operational processes, utilizing past experience to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 8+ years' experience working in or closely with a unit registry/transfer agent, with exposure to wholesale and retail funds.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements governing unit registries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to develop internal and external relationships.
  • Able to work independently, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
