Job Title: Medical Logistics Associate

We are seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Logistics Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting pathology samples and specimens between medical centres, collection centres, nursing homes, hospitals, and veterinary surgeries.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be managing up to 30 stops per day. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Pick-up and delivery of pathology samples, specimens, blood, blood products, x-rays, vaccines, and clinical waste
  • Liaising between referring medical practitioners and medical liaison officers
  • Preparation and delivery of reports and stock control in main laboratory
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and integrity
  • Following operating procedure to complete correct specimen coding documentation
  • Compliance and adherence with policies and procedures, work health and safety procedures, and quality assurance processes

To succeed in this role, you will require a valid open Australian driver's license, excellent driving record, and ability to work various shifts including rostered weekends and public holidays. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are essential, along with excellent time management skills and physical capability to handle equipment weighing regularly up to 10-15kg.

In addition to these requirements, previous courier experience is highly advantageous.
