About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Leading Hand to join our team at Shadforth Civil Contractors. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the supervision of Civil Construction teams and subcontractors, ensuring a high standard of quality, safety, and adherence to all project specifications is maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Civil Construction teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including safety and environmental procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, and develop contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience as a Leading Hand or Foreman on Civil Construction Projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in Bulk Earthworks, Pipework, Road Construction & concreting.
  • Ability to deliver projects to agreed outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Construction Industry Card (White / Blue).
  • Current Driver Licence.
  • Various plant machinery tickets will be highly regarded.
  • A strong commitment to OHS and Safe Work Practices.
