About Gartner

Gartner is a leading research and advisory company that helps organizations navigate complex business challenges. As a Sales Development Associate, you will play a critical role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for Gartner.

About the Role

You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to engage with C-level executives at Fortune 500 companies. This will involve researching and understanding the critical initiatives and challenges facing these executives, and aligning Gartner's research and expertise to provide value and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales Executives to create customized strategic plans for sales territories
  • Generate leads by prospecting potential clients and identifying new sales opportunities
  • Research prospective and existing companies, C-Level executives, business trends, and competitive intelligence to prepare relevant and tailored outreach
  • Proactively schedule calls with prospective and existing clients via phone, email, LinkedIn, and cold calling
  • Educate prospects and clients on the value of Gartner's renowned products and services
  • Shadow and/or own calls with aligned Sales Executive
  • Support follow up actions to enable pipeline progression and drive client engagement

Requirements

  • Formal qualification (Bachelors) preferred, but not necessary
  • Relevant work or internship experience in sales, retail, hospitality, or customer service
  • Ability to establish credibility and communicate with senior-level executives
  • Excellent communication, writing & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize daily tasks/responsibilities in an effective manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
  • Collaborating with the internal/external stakeholders to solve problems
