We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to manage the City's major and minor capital works contracts, as well as providing project management services.
About the RoleThis is a temporary 36-month full-time position, reporting to the Manager Project Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing civil and building contracts and projects, including leading internal groups and expert consultants, coordinating the design process, facilitating the procurement and contract awarding process, and ensuring programmed targets and budgets are met.
Key Responsibilities- Manage major and minor capital works contracts and projects
- Lead internal groups and expert consultants
- Coordinate the design process
- Facilitate the procurement and contract awarding process
- Ensure programmed targets and budgets are met
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Engineering, Construction, or Building
- Minimum of five years relevant experience
- Recognition by the relevant governing body as a registered professional (Engineers Australia) as a Professional Engineer
- Current unrestricted 'C' class national driver's licence
- Project Management skills and experience
- Experience in Civil Engineering
- Sound knowledge of the building approval process, regulatory authorities, procedures, codes, and regulations
- Contract and tender management skills
- A fair salary, with salary sacrificing options
