Facilities Management Officer

Join the City of Mandurah team as a Facilities Management Officer and play a vital role in maintaining the city's infrastructure and facilities.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for managing the city's facilities and maintenance programs. You will work closely with the City Maintenance team to ensure that all facilities are well-maintained and meet the city's standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the city's facilities and maintenance programs, including contract and performance management of contractors and suppliers.
- Facilitate the delivery of the preventative maintenance program and minor capital and maintenance projects.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to ensure that all facilities are well-maintained.
- Collaborate with the City Maintenance team to ensure that all facilities are safe and meet the city's standards.
- Manage and prioritize individual work responsibilities to achieve target outcomes.
- Certificate IV (or above) in Project or Contract Management.
- Current unrestricted C class national driver's license.
- Experience within the building or construction industry, project and contract management.
- Knowledge and experience in the tender, contract management and administration processes.
- Project delivery from inception to completion.
- Experience and expertise in budget planning and delivery and associated work programming.
- Procurement, contracts, contract law and project management and evaluation principles.
- Knowledge of design and construction approval processes, regulatory authorities, procedures, codes and regulations for the delivery of civil and building projects.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in procurement.
- Well-developed interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
- Effective decision making skills.
