Expert Technical Operations Lead

We seek a highly skilled Expert Technical Operations Lead to play a pivotal role in driving the technical and operational strategy of our team in Melbourne.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the Victorian Workers Compensation Scheme, including its objectives, relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. They will also have experience working within the Victorian Scheme, preferably within an Agent environment, as well as leadership experience with direct management and development responsibilities.

You will be responsible for developing key relationships with Worksafe staff and creating processes that support the program's objectives of ensuring consistent and strategic technical intervention into case management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing key relationships with Worksafe staff and understanding regulators' scheme liability management objectives, plans, and expectations.
  • Direct management responsibility of Worksafe's Integrity Review program and reporting on Claims Specialists' progress.
  • Creating processes to support program objectives, including targets, controls, and performance review mechanisms.
  • Ownership of policy and procedure documents, including updates and enhancements.
  • Monitoring environmental developments impacting claims strategies and performance.

Important Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of the Victorian Workers Compensation Scheme.
  • Experience working within the Victorian Scheme, preferably in an Agent environment.
  • Leadership experience with direct management and development responsibilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship and management skills.
  • Project management and operational improvement expertise.
