About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our evidence-based practice initiatives.

The successful applicant will have a strong background in research, with expertise in evidence-based practice, knowledge translation, and implementation science. They will be responsible for supporting Agency projects through coordination of complex work delivering quality outcomes within Research and Evaluation functions.

  • They will use their expertise to support Agency projects by coordinating detailed projects involving various activities and methods impacting strategic or operational outcomes that support National Disability Insurance Scheme objectives.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to translate research into actions, leading internal capability activities designed to support evidence-informed decision making, including online learning and community of practice.
  • Developing resources to communicate research findings, implementing evidence-based approaches into policy and practice, maintaining project records using research software or platforms.
  • Preparing and presenting internal reports, communicating recommendations to stakeholders based upon the findings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in evidence-based practice and knowledge translation.
  • A strong understanding of academic and professional research, with an extensive background in research.
  • Previous research leadership experience, with strong research project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Strong technical skills within research, including qualitative, quantitative, data presentation, and communication.
  • Qualifications in disability, allied health, public health, or related disciplines (PhD or post-grad qualifications preferred).
  • An extensive professional background in research within public or allied health, disability services, social sciences, clinical psychology, NGOs, or consulting.
