About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Officer to join our team in Croydon, a charming town in the heart of the Gulf Savannah. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient execution of Council's financial and administrative duties.

As a Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to the public, liaising with government departments, agencies, and statutory authorities, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger accounts and reconciliation.
  • Process payroll and accounts payable/receivable transactions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to Council staff and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
