We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate healthcare professional to join our team as a Healthcare Provider. As a Nurse with our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the supply of blood products for Australia.
About the Role
- You will work closely with generous donors to provide an exceptional service and contribute to life-changing outcomes.
Your Responsibilities
- Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate.
- Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process.
- Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
- Set up machines and collections equipment.
- Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
- Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance.
- Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation.
Requirements
- Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs.
- Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products.
- Utilise your expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registration.
- Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts.
- Have your own vehicle and driver's licence.
