About the Role
Linfox is seeking a highly motivated and experienced State Manager QLD to lead our Intermodal Business Unit in Acacia Ridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the unit excels in achieving service delivery, growth, customer relationships, and customer networking as set out in our Business Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the Queensland Intermodal financial plan, translating strategic priorities into operational reality.
- Identify, evaluate, and address risks by obtaining accurate financial data and identifying key issues and relationships relevant to achieving the business strategy.
- Deliver customer excellence, ensuring that the customer's perspective is a driving force behind strategic priorities, business decisions, business processes, and individual activities.
- Ensure processes are in place and operating effectively to enable understanding and communication of compliance obligations to all Queensland Intermodal employees.
- Identify and leverage opportunities to accelerate results and build capability by assigning tasks and decision-making responsibilities to individuals or teams with clear boundaries, expectations, support, and follow-up.
- Drive and lead continuous improvement and innovation and build and maintain a high-performance culture through fostering a work environment that encourages people to implement better approaches and generate new solutions to address problems and opportunities.
- Lead the team, ensuring clear articulation of objectives both individual and team, providing feedback, instruction, development guidance, and plans, and supports the development of individual skills and abilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Road/Rail/Sea and Transport Operations or related Transport Industry experience.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to energise, inspire, hold team members to account, and deliver on agreed plans.
- Ability to work with complexity and ambiguity, coupled with strong problem-solving capabilities stretching across the full range of operational activities.
- Ability to use effective involvement and influencing strategies to gain acceptance of ideas and commitment to actions.
