About the Role

RPS is a leading Landscape Architecture consultancy that challenges the traditional separation between natural and built environments, helping clients harness the productivity, liveability, and sustainability benefits of inspired landscape design.

We are seeking a highly-organised and proficient Landscape Architect to be based at either our Brisbane or Sunshine Coast office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing appropriate design solutions, documentation, and ensuring client requirements are achieved in a profitable and cost-efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in achieving a successful project from inception to delivery and ensure client satisfaction through the on-time delivery of a quality product.
  • Prepare plans and documents for projects, including:
    • Computer-based plans (e.g. AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign)
    • Hand drawn sketch plans
    • Written reports
    • Specifications
  • Prepare cost estimates
  • Monitor project progress, identifying potential issues and proactively assisting client managers in finding solutions.
  • Resolve complex design problems (e.g., grading, construction detailing, etc.)
  • Work and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary design team.
  • Assist client manager where required to ensure monthly invoices are completed on time and WIP is invoiced regularly.
  • Stakeholder management internally and externally with clients, government subcontractors, sub-consultants, and industry bodies.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture (BBE) or equivalent as recognised by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) is preferred but not essential;
  • Around 2 years previous experience in landscape architecture design within a professional practice;
  • Some experience using Revit;
  • Experience using relevant computer packages, i.e. AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop required;
  • Comprehension of other computer packages such as Sketch-up, Lumion is advantageous;
  • Unrestricted Australian driving licence.
