We are seeking for a Manager, Information Security Architecture which is a brand-new role within our Public-sector client which will be one of the core positions in our client's Information Security team, responsible for both business-as-usual (BAU) management and project initiatives.
As the Manager of Information Security Architecture, you will play a pivotal role in conducting architecture assessments and collaborating with Solution Architects to review their designs for any potential security gaps, focusing on higher-level security concepts rather than intricate technical details.
You will work alongside the Risk and Governance stream, as well as the Operations stream, to ensure the effective implementation of security architecture principles.
You will also work closely with the Security Operations team to operationalize security services, ensuring concepts are effectively put into practice. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead the technology roadmap for our ongoing Cyber Uplift Project, outlining the intended deliverables and implementation strategies. This role requires comfort in presenting to senior executives and frequent communication with the CIO, involving extensive stakeholder engagement.

**Responsibilities**:
This role requires a combination of technical and business facilitation skills, as you will be responsible for converting security requirements into easily understandable language for project teams, solution architects, and other stakeholders.
Make decisions pertaining to security principles in both BAU and project environments.
Define security architecture aligned with IT Service Management
Develop technology roadmaps with supporting metrics and measurements.
Provide guidance on highly sensitive or complex security issues, involving a whole-of-agency approach.
Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with the Information Security team to identify and address risks or breaches.
Stay updated on the cyber threat landscape and relevant security frameworks.
Manage and implement cyber security strategy and architecture in a service delivery environment.

**To be successful in this role**:
Relevant qualifications and/or certifications in cyber security management, including CISSP, CISM, and Security Architecture certifications.
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience, preferably with a background in solution architecture implementation.
Significant experience in defining security architecture aligned with IT Service Management
Solid understanding of the cyber threat landscape and cyber security frameworks, particularly in a government environment
Experience in managing and implementing cyber security strategy and architecture in small to medium organizations in a service delivery environment.
Familiarity with project management principles and experience working in project-based environments.
