Job Description: Lead Accountant
  • Preparation of Financial Statements: As a senior accountant, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Taxation Services: You will advise clients on taxation strategies, prepare tax returns, and ensure seamless communication with the ATO and other external stakeholders.
  • Client Relationships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients across various industries is crucial to this role. You will serve as the primary point of contact, providing expert advice and support to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work closely with managers and partners to deliver high-quality services and contribute to the firm's continued success.
  • SMSF Compliance: You will ensure that SMSF compliance is met, providing guidance and support to clients as needed.
  • Training and Mentoring: You will participate in team training and mentoring, helping to grow the team's knowledge and skills while contributing to the firm's overall growth and development.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: CA or CPA qualified, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within public practice.
  • Expertise: Proven expertise in accounting, taxation, and SMSFs, with demonstrated experience in a client-facing role.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
