Our client, Occulus International, is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Western Sydney. As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of mobile plant equipment, including CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi machinery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics, with experience in diagnosing and repairing complex engine issues. You will be accountable for a wide range of maintenance tasks, including engine rebuilds, diagnostics, fault identification, preventative and scheduled maintenance, and component replacements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Rebuilding engines, clutches, gearboxes, and other critical components
  • Conducting thorough fault diagnostics and repairs
  • Managing hydraulic system repairs and executing on-site fixes
  • Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance tasks

Requirements for the role include:

  • Diesel Mechanic (Mobile Plant) Trade Certificate or equivalent
  • Strong CAT diagnostic and maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver's License – minimum C class
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Forklift License – preferred
  • Experience working on premium brands preferable
  • Proficiency in utilising computer-based engine diagnostic programs is advantageous
