Transformation Expert for Finance Planning and Budgeting

We are seeking a seasoned Transformation Expert to lead the Finance Planning and Budgeting project at our Sydney office. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.

This role is critical to the success of Stockland's Finance Transformation program, focusing on designing and implementing a Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting cycle that enhances operational efficiency and supports the execution of our strategy.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering multiple workstreams in the Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting project, ensuring goals, timelines, and success criteria are met and aligned with the overall project.
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts across business divisions, finance, and technology teams to analyze the As-Is cycle, design, implement, and embed the To-Be cycle.
  • Developing and implementing robust change management strategies and plans, including stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and support, to ensure a smooth transition and sustainable adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Partnering with the Program Lead and other workstream leads to manage project scope, resources, risks, and timelines, ensuring proactive issue resolution and effective change management.
  • Fostering a culture of transformation and innovation by staying at the forefront of leading practices and collaborating with other teams to ensure a consistent approach to transformation.

About You

You have a demonstrated experience in large-scale transformation programs or initiatives, preferably within a finance or corporate services environment. You also have a proven track record of delivering transformation or process improvements in planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, systems, or tools, achieving measurable improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.

Additionally, you bring experience working with cross-functional teams and engaging with diverse stakeholders, including senior management, to drive successful transformation outcomes. You are well-versed in project management methodologies and tools, with a solid understanding of risk management, resource allocation, and project governance.

This role requires someone with a high level of adaptability and resilience, able to navigate ambiguity and drive change in challenging situations.

Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
