Job Title: Senior Emergency Physician

  • The position involves rotating through day and night shifts, providing a diverse range of experiences in emergency medicine.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care and advice on patient management in the Emergency Department.
  • Provide, coordinate, and facilitate diagnosis, patient management, and discharge planning, including accurate medical records.
  • Contribute to continuous medical education, including teaching, professional development, research, quality improvement activities.

  • Services include Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Diseases, General Medicine, Rehabilitation, Oncology, Respiratory Medicine, HITH, Palliative Care, Renal, Endocrinology, Haematology, Neurology, Anaesthetics, ENT, Urology, General Surgery, O&G, Paediatrics & other allied health services.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • General, Provisional, or limited registration with AHPRA or eligible to obtain.
  • IMGs who have completed at least the AMC MCQ (part 1) or both AMC 1 & 2 (clinical exam).
  • IMGs eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada, or Ireland).
  • IMGs assessed by ACEM College as partially or substantially comparable.
  • Previous experience working as an Emergency Medicine Registrar/Medical Officer.
