Appeals Executive Officer

This is a critical role that requires a motivated individual to join our team.

The Appeals Executive Officer oversees student academic and misconduct appeal processes, provides guidance to relevant committees on regulatory compliance, and prepares records of proceedings and determinations. This position also supports the broader integrity and investigation functions.

To be considered for this role, you must have a tertiary qualification (such as a legal qualification) and relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training. Strong analytical and investigative skills are required from a legal, advocacy, compliance, investigative or employee relations background or experience. You will develop a strong understanding of legislation and policies related to student conduct and academic progression and have experience in investigating allegations, assessing outcomes, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of student appeals (misconduct and progression) at the University, including assessing eligibility, attending hearings and recording determinations.
  • Provide support and advice to the Student Appeals Committee and Academic Board.
  • Participate in and develop staff training initiatives to educate stakeholders.

This full-time position offers a competitive remuneration package, including $132,326 to $138,384 per annum plus 17% superannuation contribution.
