About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team, providing high-level clinical services in correctional centres.

This senior role involves managing complex assessments and interventions to promote wellbeing and safety for adults in our centres. Key responsibilities include applying behaviour change models, developing support plans, mentoring team members, and maintaining professional development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level clinical services that are complex in nature, including assessments and interventions that promote mental health, wellbeing and safety. They will manage a diverse caseload, maintain accurate case notes and progress reports, and demonstrate their clinical knowledge, understanding and skills to support service delivery.

They will operate independently to provide advice, undertake clinical consultations, and problem solve diverse and often complicated situations using Clinical Frameworks to Guide Decisions and Activities.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of theories, models and research related to behaviour change techniques.
  • Develop and/or review behavioural support management plans.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to promote a supportive environment while developing critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills within the team.
  • Be accountable for your own professional development, maintaining clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities.
