Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a senior mental health professional to lead our multidisciplinary team in providing high-quality care to residents across Cairns and the surrounding region.

This role offers a unique opportunity to drive best practice inpatient and community mental health services, while also contributing to strategic and operational planning. You will work closely with other clinicians and service providers to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team
  • Drive the delivery of best practice inpatient and community mental health programs
  • Oversee clinical governance and participate in strategic planning
  • Deliver education and training to junior medical staff, students, and clinicians
Requirements
  • Degree in Psychiatry or related field
  • Current registration with relevant state/territory medical board
  • Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and driving quality improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
