Chef Leader

Our organization is looking for an experienced and skilled Chef to oversee food preparation and presentation. This role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, supporting staff, and leading by example in a professional manner.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, commercial cooking experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with chefs, dieticians, and speech therapists to tailor meals to patient needs.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe food provision according to our documented plan
  • Provide support and guidance to team members
  • Demonstrate understanding of accreditation standards, WH&S management, rostering, stock ordering, and function coordination
  • Lead by example in a professional and considerate demeanor

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Commercial Cooking certificate
  • Minimum qualification level in management
  • Experience in commercial volume cooking and fine dining
  • Proactive, flexible, and creative approach
