Lead Music Educator

The music educator is responsible for designing, delivering and assessing engaging music programs to achieve specific student outcomes. They engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve their knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and enhance their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive music lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs
- Evaluate student progress and adapt instruction to meet the varying requirements of all learners
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school music initiatives
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in relevant curriculum and ability to integrate literacy and numeracy skills
- Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with educational values
Professional Development Opportunities:
Teachers are expected to continually improve their practice through ongoing professional learning. This includes participating in training and development opportunities, coaching and mentoring other teachers, and reflecting on their own practice to ensure student success.
