Lead Music Educator

About the Role:
This position involves teaching music to students in a secondary college setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for music education and be able to create engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing curriculum, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to improve student outcomes.
The successful applicant will also contribute to the development of student leaders through music programs and initiatives.
In addition to teaching music, this role requires working closely with the wellbeing team to support student mental health and provide a safe and inclusive learning environment.
To succeed in this position, applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Music Education or related field
- Proven teaching experience in a secondary school setting
- Ability to develop and implement engaging music lessons
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification in first aid and CPR (an asset)
