About the Role:

Ventia is seeking an experienced Area Cleaning Supervisor to join their NSW Schools team. As an Area Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of cleaners across various school sites in the Western Sydney region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an efficient roster of full-time, part-time, and casual employees.
  • Be prepared to perform hands-on cleaning tasks when required.
  • Manage staff daily, including on-call for sick leave or general inquiries.
  • Ensure all school sites are compliant with site documentation, equipment, chemicals, and consumables to achieve contractual compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, customers, and staff on service delivery, operational issues, project progress, and continual improvement.
  • Supervise staff and provide ongoing training and development.
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure work is delivered at the highest standard.
  • Promote and monitor safe work practices.

About You:

  • You must be resilient and capable of supervising approximately 30-35 cleaners across all shift times.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience is desirable.
  • You should have the ability to lead, motivate, and influence your staff members to deliver excellent results.
  • You must be an approachable, collaborative leader who promotes a happy work culture.
  • You should have strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft programs, Excel, Outlook, etc., is essential.
