Principal Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to lead our Corridor Management team. This role provides high-level engineering expertise, leadership, and guidance in overseeing road corridor activities.

  • The successful candidate will manage and provide technical direction to development control, access control, ancillary works, and encroachments control and services liaison activities.
  • This role involves leading the corridor management team in close liaison with advisors and other key stakeholders.
  • The engineer will provide technical, legislative, and policy advice on assessment of development applications and road corridor management issues.
  • Suitable candidates will support and advise on planning and design suitability and options, quality, environmental aspects, and construction practices.
  • This position requires leading and managing the operational aspects of the corridor management team to ensure effective and efficient use of systems and processes.
  • Maintaining and applying all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements is essential.
  • The engineer will supervise and coordinate resource allocation to foster effective teamwork and achieve organisational objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Mandatory Qualifications and Conditions:
  • A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent, accredited by the Washington Accord.
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
  • A current car driver's licence.
  • A satisfactory criminal history check.
