
Senior Road Infrastructure Specialist

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Road Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level engineering expertise, leadership, and guidance on road corridor activities in the Wide Bay/Burnett District.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide technical direction to development control, access control, ancillary works, and encroachments control and services liaison activities.
- Lead the corridor management team in close liaison with advisors and other key stakeholders.
- Provide technical, legislative, and policy advice to staff and management on assessment of development applications and road corridor management issues that impact on state-managed transport corridors.
- Support and advise on planning and design suitability and options, the use of materials, resources, components or systems, quality, environmental aspects, and construction practices.
- Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and courses of action for development control, access control, ancillary works, and encroachments control and services liaison activities.
Requirements:
- A four-year, Washington Accord-accredited Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalence assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
- A current holder of car driver's license.
